Afterward finally getting the inside door panel off and pulling the inside admission panel loose, information technology is obvious it gets more than complicated from here. At least it looks that way as you effort to see through window tracks, power window motor, power lock mechanism, etc. How the heck practise you get to the door handle?? Exercise you lot need to remove ALL of that stuff and the access panel start? Whatsoever tips on how to get at the handle? And once there, whatever tips on removing the handle?? Seems like a real pain in the rear compared to my old 55!!! http://public.fotki.com/redlinetoys/ Bob RedlineToys http://www.youtube.com/lookout?v=GslLKzhPth8 |

Seems like there is one nut, maybe 12 mm and yours may be 1/two", that y'all tin get to with 1/4" stuff----and a wobble, thru a triangular cutout in the upper door inner skin. Word of circumspection, tape anything together you might be using in there or you might become fishin And so there is a phillips screw head on the outer door jamb part of the door, above the latch I think, remove both of those and ease the handle out so you lot can become the lock rod/clip off. Been 3 years or and so since I did mine, might be a fiddling fuzzy on some of that. But I practice remember the fishin expedition |

If y'all remove the unabridged door module, it's somewhat easier, but the rear window channel being spot-welded in identify is the real obstruction. By door module I mean the inner peel that has the window regulator attached. It comes out of the door as an assembly with the drinking glass intact. Non a trivial job but non terribly bad. One thing I establish is that yous tin leave the latch mechanism rod attached to the handle, since it's kind of hard to reach the prune with the handle still installed, and but have the bolts out of the latch mechanism. It will fall merely enough to permit you to remove/reinstall the handle with the actuator rod all the same attached. This task sucks, but it can be done without slicing into the inner door panel. I've seen them cut up like CDAUSA described merely I oasis't had to use that admission hole. Richard 06 Silverado ISS / 06 Silverado SS / 06 300C SRT8 |

It all the same isn't lined up right merely with a wobble, it is like shooting fish in a barrel enough. |

At that place's a triangular access hole on ane of my panels, just it was clearly cut past a previous owner - very crude cut, not a factory affair. Nice and sharp. When I replaced that panel the one I took from some other truck didn't have the cut. Richard 06 Silverado ISS / 06 Silverado SS / 06 300C SRT8 |

I am dying to know. From what I can tell so far, this is gonna be a pain. I am certain once you have done it once, it doesn't seem so bad, but right at present, I can't fifty-fifty meet or touch the door handle. I will spend some more time with it this weekend as the handle had to be ordered... I may just cut an access pigsty, butchery or non. I am not much in the mood for fooling around equally nosotros have replaced nearly $4000 worth of car parts on 3 cars in the concluding 2 months. Information technology is like the Bermuda Triangle hither right now. Cylinder heads, Clutch, Oil Pump and Pan, Benefactor, Water Pumps, Radiator, Clutch Fan, Etc, Etc. I hate to say information technology, but I am really ill of working on vehicles (even the fun ones...) http://public.fotki.com/redlinetoys/ Bob RedlineToys http://www.youtube.com/sentinel?v=GslLKzhPth8 |
